Dr. Schachet Announces Retirement
After 47 years at EyeCare Consultants, Dr. John L. Schachet has announced his retirement. Our doctors and staff thank Dr. Schachet for his decades of service and leadership. We wish Dr. Schachet a well-deserved, happy retirement.
Dear Patients and Friends,
I wanted to let all of my valued and loyal patients know that I will be retiring after 47 years at Eyecare Consultants, effective June 30th, 2022. This is indeed a bittersweet decision. It has been a pleasure and a privilege taking care of your eye care needs over the years. I have received a tremendous amount of satisfaction and joy getting to know you all and your families. In some cases, I am even caring for the eye heath needs of three generations within a family. The personal connections that I have formed with all of you over the years have been very meaningful to me.
I also want to thank all the staff that has assisted me over the years. Without their help, we could not do what we do. We have tried to create a friendly caring environment where you can feel very comfortable, yet confident that your needs will be taken care of. This has been a collective effort of myself and the great people that have worked with me.
In January 1975, I started practicing at Hampden and Tamarac and moved in 1995 to the current location at Arapahoe Rd. and Yosemite. Although we are now part of the AEG Vision network of practices, our incredible service and care for our patients will remain the same. I have the utmost confidence in my colleagues and their abilities to care for all of your eye health needs as I have done over the years. Drs. Vasi Alevras-Sztukowski, Claire Diekema, and Travis Lipscomb will continue to care for all your eye health needs, as they always have.
I would like to thank all of you, my patients, for all of the years of trust and loyalty. I will miss each and every one of you but I want to to assure you that you will continue to be in good hands in the future. My daughter, Jodi Anderson, current Office Manager, will continue managing the practice even after my retirement. So, a piece of me will always be with you.
